The estate has been at the forefront of various environmental schemes ever since their conception over 30 years ago. From over 100 hectares of new woodland planted for the National Forest, to new hedges, wetland creation and parkland restoration.

It has replaced over 200 hectares of arable land  with flower rich grass leys, wildflower meadows and wild bird habitats.

The hall and offices are heated using a biomass boiler with the wood coming from the estate and electricity coming from solar panels.
